Spirit Cards are “credit-card” sized plastic cards sold and promoted by local schools or athletic groups as a fundraiser. Many other types of groups sell Spirit Cards as well such as Pop Warner Football Teams and Soccer Associations.
The front of the Spirit Cards feature the logo of the school or team selling the cards, and are brightly colored in the school’s or team’s colors.
The obverse of the Spirit Card features many local, regional, and national businesses that offer a discount or promotion for anyone owning and presenting a Spirit Card at their establishment. The Spirit Cards are sort of a “coupon book” on a card. The Spirit Cards last for 12 months and then expire.
Offers vary on the Spirit Cards, usually ranging from a 10% to 20% discount, to buy one get one free or other tempting offers.
Many businesses honor any Spirit Cards sold. You can view our starting list of Spirt Card Network Sponsors here. Some businesses may only offer a discount for particular cards; these business offers will only be displayed on the individual Spirit Cards, not on the entire network.
Our schools and groups sell the Spirit Cards normally for a period of two weeks. The Spirit Card fundraiser is financially risk-free to our groups. Lets Go Banners offers the Spirit Card fundraisers on the Big Island of Hawaii, and we are soon expanding to Maui in May, 2010.
